Two Touch Passing Drill

Exercise Objectives:
This exercise emphasizes the quality of the "first touch" when receiving and passing.

Coaching Pointers:
Divide your players into small groups and place an equal amount of players on each side. The practice begins with the player passing the ball to the first player at the opposite side. The receiving player takes "one touch" to receive the ball and a "second touch" to pass the ball. The sequence is continued throughout the drill.

Focus on:
Ensure that the players "first touch" is out of their feet and that they bring their head up to scan the field.
Ball should be player approximately 1 yard out of the feet, anything less will keep their head down.
